The Broker - The Short Version
Tab Trade opened in March 2026. Online broker registered in Saint Lucia, regulated by Saint Lucia's FSRA. The guy behind it is Benjamin Boulter. Previously, he was on the executive team at BlackBull Markets, the New Zealand-regulated broker.
His background matters. It suggests the leadership knows how a proper broker operates. Does not mean TabTrade is the same as BlackBull. But better than a random name you cannot trace.
The broker opened with Equinix LD4/LD5 connectivity. Same infrastructure institutional desks use. The typical new launch leads with marketing and bonuses. Tab Trade did the opposite. Interesting choice.
Market coverage: FX, stock indices, metals, commodities, shares, crypto, exchange-traded funds. A wide spread. For something this new, the breadth is not narrow.
What You Trade On
They offer: MT5, cTrader, and a WebTrader. Both MT5 and cTrader from a single account. Many only give you one or the other. Having both is useful. Use whichever you prefer.
MetaTrader 5 is the default. Complete charts, automated trading, tons of scripts and indicators. If you have used a MetaQuotes platform previously, it is familiar territory.
cTrader is the cleaner option. Cleaner order book. Smoother chart interaction. cBot support. Many people prefer it after comparing.
FIX API is available for bots but requires the VIP tier ($25,000 to open). TradingView is said to be coming. That should make the platform set when it lands.
What You Pay
Three tiers: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard account. 1.0 pip spreads. Zero commission. Straightforward. Zero deposit requirement. Suits anyone who does not want to think about commission.
Edge account. Raw spreads from 0.0 pips average. Flat commission of $3.50 per side. Total cost: raw spread plus $7 per full lot. On EUR/USD, the raw spread is frequently below 0.2 pips. Meaning your all-in cost can sit below 0.5 pips. That is hard to beat for a broker with no minimum deposit. Most brokers that run raw pricing at this level want $500 or more to open. Tab Trade has no minimum.
VIP account. $25,000 deposit required. FIX connectivity, execution under 20ms, custom pricing. Not for the average person. Skip it unless you trade institutionally.
How Fast Are the Fills
The speed is the thing this broker actually does something different. Equinix data centres. Execution below 30 milliseconds on Edge. Below 20ms on VIP. That is institutional numbers. The average platform operate at 100ms to 300ms.
Should you care? If you scalp, it does. The difference between fast execution and sluggish execution is the difference between. If you swing trade, you will not notice. The point is the infrastructure is there. That says they are not cutting corners on the tech.
Pair those fill times with 0.0 pip spreads and $7 round-turn and what you get makes sense. Not many platforms at this price point offer execution like this.
The FSRA Question
Here is the thing that requires honesty. TabTrade is under the FSRA in Saint Lucia. That is outside tier-1 jurisdiction. No ASIC. No investor compensation scheme. If operating without FCA or ASIC oversight makes you uncomfortable, stop reading. There are tier-1 alternatives out there.
However. The founder built his career at BlackBull Markets, a tier-1 regulated broker. The server placement costs real money. Fly-by-night platforms do not invest in proper execution infrastructure. This does not guarantee anything. It does inform your decision.
The deal: no FCA or ASIC safety net. For that: high leverage, raw pricing from 0.0 pips, $0 to start, Equinix execution. Whether the trade-off is worth it depends on you.
Deposit Bonus
TabTrade offers a welcome bonus of up to two thousand dollars. Standard deposit match. You fund your account, they add bonus funds. Usual conditions attached: minimum lots traded before you can withdraw the bonus. Read the conditions before you commit.
